NEW "TEAM HEWITT" NOTCHING UP SUCCESSES

Category News

"Team Hewitt", of the Alexander Swart Property team that has been given unprecedented exposure in Cape Town's Northern Suburbs property media since it was launched a year ago, has lived up to its promise - and is now set fair to challenge the number one spot in Alexander Swart Property's annual sales competition.

The team has however undergone a change:  Terence Hewitt, who initially partnered with his brother Garth, has taken up a new business opportunity and his place has been taken by Yolandi Hewitt, (Garth Hewitt's wife). Alexander Swart Property now has a husband and wife team serving Durbanville (Garth) and Brackenfell (Yolandi). What is more, this team has been incredibly successful, despite the economic conditions which Rowan Alexander, Director of Alexander Swart Property, has described as "mostly negative".  In the seven days leading up to the end of August, they were able to secure no less than seven offers (all accepted) worth R11,5 million and since then they have sold another two properties. This achievement comes on top of the first 12 months in which Team Hewitt sold properties to the value of just over R50 million.

"Some of those new to selling property," said Alexander, "take time to settle in, but since Yolandi Hewitt signed on for mentoring seven months ago, she has secured 23 new mandates worth R45 million." A testimony not only to her skill but also her willingness to work very long hours. Asked to what he ascribes his and his wife's success, Garth Hewitt said that judging by their clients' comments, what most impressed them is the level of service that "Team Hewitt" provide.  This is particularly evident with regard to information required by the client.  No question is ever left unanswered and if he or Yolandi do not know the answer they will always find out and revert back to the client. "Being part of the Alexander Swart Property team we have access to a vast store of knowledge acquired over the years, by our principals and colleagues who are always ready to assist and divulge information. This gives us a head start on other agents who do not have hands on managers as we do."

Rowan Alexander confirmed their success, saying that in his experience he had seldom seen two new agents take on board so much expertise and skill, so quickly. "It is always difficult to pinpoint why some agents have such strong motivation or success. It is quite clear that "Team Hewitt" are movers and shakers to a degree rarely seen in any industry.  They are proving that success will always come to those who really work for it."

Kraaifontein, Western Cape

For years Kraaifontein was regarded as the ugly stepsister of the slightly more upmarket Brackenfell and Durbanville. This perception has changed dramatically in recent years, thanks to expansive development and rejuvenation initiatives in the... More Info
