Christelle Liebenberg, a new recruit with a very bright future.

Alexander Swart Property has recently recruited to their Durbanville office, a new estate agent who has exactly the right experience and personality to be successful in residential property marketing in upper-middle and upper bracket areas, says director Rowan Alexander.

"Although Christelle is theoretically a rookie agent and has therefore to be mentored for a year (in accordance with Estate Agency Affairs Board rulings), she has on her own account been investing in property for some 20 years. She is a convinced believer in this type of asset and is therefore an ideal advisor to anyone looking to buy or sell -especially in her own area which she knows well.

Equally important, Christelle has spent many years in sales consultancy (with an industrial salt company) and event organisation (for her husband's motorsport eventing company). She is thus relaxed and competent in any sales situation and has a good rapport with clients at the top of their chosen careers," says Alexander.

Christelle has testified that she enjoys meeting people and makes friends easily. "I am a passionate follower of Warren Buffett, one of the greatest investors of time. I live by his quote: Honesty is a very expensive gift. Do not expect it form cheap people." "I like to think that that I am the sort of person whom others will trust-and I ensure that all my dealings are 100% transparent so that there can never be any suspicion of dishonesty."

Since joining Alexander Swart she has come to appreciate more than ever before, that there are many estate agents "out there" who are ignorant of important facts they should know if they are to be of real value to their clients. Despite many years of involvement in property, she has a real need for ongoing training -and this she says, is provided by Alexander Swart, where it is mandatory for all staff; part of everyday life. "This more than any other factor, is what sets Alexander Swart apart from most other agencies," she says.

Much of her time in recent years has been devoted to her daughter, a highly competent rider and swimmer. When it became clear that the daughter, now in grade 10, could fend for herself, Christelle set about becoming an estate agent. What attracted her to Alexander Swart was that their management are also the owners, who do not have the uninspired mind sets, so often encountered in big corporates.

"The top people here are always available to advise and help. They have fostered a friendly, co-operative atmosphere and one finds these at all levels in the company. I felt accepted from the very first day. What is more, they are winners; I would hate to belong to a company with a poor record and a bad reputation."

Christelle is initially focussing on Tara and its adjacent areas in Durbanville, where she herself lives. Tara has 451 freehold homes, 209 in six security estates and 34 sectional title homes. According to Christelle, this precinct is one of the best that Durbanville has to offer. Many of the original erven here were 4000m2 or larger in size and although these have been subdivided, Tara still has a country ambience, especially in the green belt on both sides of the Kuils River, an open space popular with dog walkers and joggers.

Welcome aboard the Alexander Swart ship, Christelle! We are very pleased that you have joined our team and we predict with complete confidence, that you will before long be one of its top performers.
